Touch, Massage and Trigger Points
This one-day course will insure Pilates teachers to be able to get ‘hands-on’ with their clients – It will not qualify you as a massage therapist. We will integrate massage techniques into Pilates exercises so you can use your skills straight away with your clients during your Pilates sessions.
The Touch, Massage and Trigger Point module explores the importance of how to use touch and appropriate handling techniques. We will teach you how to use your hands when working with your clients in a professional and effective way – And by introducing you to basic massage techniques, we will then explore trigger pointing as well as looking at what the latest research has to say about them.
During this course, we discuss how and why getting hands-on can make such a difference when working with our clients during their Pilates sessions – As effective as it can be to get hands-on, we also explore the rules of when we shouldn’t handle our clients, the red flags or contraindications along with other factors such as going limbic: what is it and how to recognise a limbic response.
If you are booking onto the Touch, Massage and Trigger Point course as an individual module, the cost for this one-day course is £145.
If you are enrolled in the Therapy Program, Mat Work Therapy Program, Equipment Therapy Program or the Comprehensive Therapy Program, this module is included within the cost of your program.
